Coral Allegro ONCE Valencia has been a pioneer for over 35 years in the field of inclusion through music education in Spain. Today, 50% of its members are ONCE members (an organization with a system of services that emphasizes rehabilitation as the means for blind people to overcome the obstacles posed by this disability). The choir has been presented at numerous conferences and seminars, receiving critical acclaim not only for its music but also for its methodology, outreach, and work plan. This has motivated their national and international participation as a guest group in numerous conferences, festivals, and workshops.
Christian García Marco, born in Valencia, is a music teacher with a degree in History and Music Sciences and works as such at Les Carolines school in Picassent.
He combines his teaching as a teacher with the direction of the Coral Allegro ONCE Valencia, Coral Staccato ONCE, Cor de La Canyada, and the Escola Coral de L’Eliana. Student of the teacher and pedagogue Juli Hurtado Llopis, Christian has participated in choirs in numerous editions of the Europa Cantat festival, training in the field of choral conducting with David Azurza, Elisenda Carrasco, Josep Ramon Gil-Tàrrega, Roberta Paraninfo (IT), Nicole Corti (FR), or Hirvo Surva (ESN), among others. He has also participated in different editions of the ISME (International Society of Music Education) in Tenerife, Thessaloniki, Pekin or Baku. Occasionally he is a member of the jury at musical events such as the XVII Paco Llácer Composition Contest (FECOCOVA), the PROMETEO Musical Contest (ONCE), or the international EuroLow Vision Song Contest. He is also the principal piano accompanist of the Coro Stma. Trinidad de Valencia, directed by Carmina Moreno Llabata. Since 2023 he presides over the FECIJ-CV (Federation of Children and Youth Choral Entities of the Valencian Community).
